AI monitoring specialist M-Take has begun pre-sales in Korea and North America for its baby separation-sleep healthcare camera, Mom-i, drawing attention to the technological expertise of its joint developer and manufacturer, Edge Foundry.

An Edge Foundry representative stated on the 16th, “Mom-i’s core strength lies in its ability to precisely monitor a baby’s breathing, temperature, and sleep condition without attaching any device—a completely non-contact system. This differentiates it from conventional wearable solutions and is made possible by Edge Foundry’s high-performance infrared (IR) thermal imaging sensor technology.”

As Korea’s only mass-production specialist for uncooled IR sensors, Edge Foundry is expanding its reach from the industrial B2B sector to the consumer healthcare (B2C) market through this collaboration.

Mom-i is equipped with built-in Black Body calibration technology, which ensures measurement accuracy even amid environmental temperature changes. This overcomes the long-standing issue of measurement error in typical thermal sensors caused by ambient fluctuations and is based on four patented technologies registered in Korea and the U.S.

In the global infant healthcare market, where sensor reliability and stability directly determine product competitiveness, Edge Foundry’s unique technological edge stands out.

The company’s domestically produced sensors also combine high precision with cost efficiency, increasing Mom-i’s potential for mass adoption. Additionally, a multi-layered security architecture minimizes the risk of data breaches, aligning the product with global data protection standards.

An industry expert commented, “While M-Take is entering the market with a consumer device, Edge Foundry is indirectly penetrating the global healthcare sector through its core sensor technology. This partnership signals the expansion of Korean sensor technology from industrial to everyday applications.”
