Teen Girls Safety Belt Fails on 60m Roller Coaster, Rescued by Nearby Couple

A terrifying incident occurred at a roller coaster in the United States where a teenage girl experienced a safety belt failure while riding a coaster that reaches a height of 60 meters. Fortunately, a couple seated in front of her managed to grab hold of her, preventing a potential disaster.
According to reports from British media, the Daily Mail, the incident took place on the 11th of last month at the World of Fun amusement park located in Missouri.
As the coaster, named Mamba, ascended its first hill reaching 60 meters, the safety belt of the teenage girl unexpectedly came undone.
Chris and Kathy Evins, the couple seated in front of the girl, heard her piercing scream and quickly assessed the situation, grabbing her to ensure her safety.
Chris described the harrowing moment, saying, "I had never heard a scream like that before. I thought the girl was just scared because it was her first time on the ride."
During the ride, Chris held onto the girls hand while his wife, Kathy, secured her legs to prevent her from falling.
Photographs taken during the incident show Chris and Kathy reaching back to hold the girl, who is seen with a terrified expression, leaning forward in her seat.
The roller coaster then rapidly descended at speeds of up to 120 km/h and ascended another hill at a height of 56 meters before plunging down again.
Thanks to the quick actions of the Evins couple, they were able to keep the girl secure until the ride came to a stop. They immediately informed the amusement park staff about the incident, prompting the park to halt operations to inspect the ride.
The amusement park stated, "The safety of our guests and staff is our top priority. We immediately closed the ride and conducted a thorough inspection before resuming operations that evening."
They further reassured the public, saying, "The ride is designed with multiple safety mechanisms, with the knee safety bar serving as the primary safety device, while the safety belt acts as an auxiliary measure."
