TV Personality Seo Dong-joo Shares Experience of Being Overlooked at VIP Event
TV personality Seo Dong-joo recently shared her experience of feeling overlooked at a brand VIP event. She arrived at the venue in a small car, which led to a misunderstanding as staff mistook her for an unauthorized vehicle among the luxury cars parked outside.
On the 23rd, Seo Dong-joo uploaded a video on her YouTube channel announcing a flea market event where she will showcase various clothing items. In the video, she stated, "I don’t have any luxury goods," and mentioned that she would be offering many brand new items, some still with tags attached. She encouraged viewers to come and enjoy the event.
She described the upcoming event in Changdong as having a neighborhood festival vibe, noting, "I don’t have luxury brands, but others are expected to bring some, so look forward to it."
When asked why she doesn’t buy luxury items, she explained, "I try not to consume leather, and many luxury items are made of leather. I’m not that wealthy, so I live according to my means."
Seo recounted her experience at the brand event, saying, "I arrived in my beige-colored Ray, and surrounded by all these amazing black cars, the staff thought I had entered the wrong area and told me to leave because there was an event going on."
She recalled stepping out of her car and noticing that the venue was made of glass, with many employees staring at her from inside. "I usually don’t care about such things, but it was a bit embarrassing to get out with so many people watching," she admitted.
Despite feeling awkward, she resolved to stand tall and embrace her choice of vehicle. "I love small cars, and the Ray is really comfortable. There’s no better car for me than this one," she affirmed. Although it was her first experience feeling embarrassed in such a situation, she left the event determined to be more confident about her choice.
