POSCO E&C Launches High-End Interior Product Atelier Edition in Collaboration with Designer Yang Tae-oh
POSCO E&C has unveiled its high-end interior product Atelier Edition, created in collaboration with renowned interior designer Yang Tae-oh. According to the company on the 10th, Atelier Edition is a full-package interior product that integrates finishing materials, furniture, lighting, and styling into one cohesive design. This product reflects the design philosophy of Yang Tae-oh, making it the first total interior product showcasing a famous designers philosophy introduced by a domestic construction company.
Atelier Edition focuses on essential tranquility, eliminating unnecessary decorations and harmonizing light, materials, and space. The living room is designed as a gallery-like space, the bedroom is interpreted as a modern tea room reminiscent of a traditional gathering place, and the bathroom is a meditative space adorned with black natural stone and soft lighting.
Additionally, the design modernly reconstructs the lines and spacing of traditional Korean windows while incorporating hidden details throughout to enhance the depth and completeness of the space. Yang Tae-oh expressed, "I aimed to create a sanctuary where the heart can rest even amidst the city. I concentrated on essence rather than flamboyance, embodying the tranquility of life through the aesthetics of restraint and balance."
Moreover, the product deepens the nobility and dignity pursued by the brand through the concept Inspired by Nature, which harmoniously combines the restrained textures of natural materials like wood and stone with natural colors.
POSCO E&C is in the process of registering the trademark for Atelier Edition and jointly registering copyright with Yang Tae-oh’s studio, Taeo Yang Studio. In the future, the company plans to apply this product to OTIERE distribution complexes and operate popup exhibitions and physical experience spaces for customers to engage with the product directly.
