Cathie Wood, CEO of Ark Invest and renowned for her investments in technology stocks and cryptocurrencies, has revised her bullish outlook on Bitcoin. In an interview with CNBC on the 6th of the month, she stated that one significant change in perspective over the last few years is that stablecoins are beginning to take over some of the roles that Bitcoin was expected to fulfill. She suggested that the previously anticipated Bitcoin price of $1.5 million by 2030 could be subject to change.

Wood noted, "Considering the role that stablecoins are playing in emerging markets, we might need to shave off around $300,000 from that bullish forecast." She urged investors to pay attention to this shift.

Furthermore, Wood emphasized that stablecoins are expanding at a pace much faster than anyone had expected. She pointed out that U.S. institutions have started to focus on a new payment infrastructure centered around stablecoins, which she described as a very interesting development.

This statement is noteworthy as Wood, who is often regarded as a leading proponent of Bitcoins bullish narrative, has adjusted her long-term outlook. The reduction of approximately $300,000 from the original forecast represents about a 20% decrease.

Despite this adjustment, Wood maintains an optimistic view on Bitcoins role as digital gold. She remarked, "Bitcoin is a global monetary system and a leader in a new asset class; it is technology itself. Institutions are just beginning to dip their toes in this space, and there is still a long way to go."

Woods insights reflect the evolving landscape of cryptocurrency investments and the increasing prominence of stablecoins, signaling a potential shift in how Bitcoin and similar assets are perceived in the financial ecosystem.
