Law Firm Jipyeong Hosts IPO Forum for Companies Preparing for Public Offering

Law Firm Jipyeong is set to hold a forum aimed at companies preparing for Initial Public Offerings (IPOs). The Jipyeong Capital Market Group announced that the 2026 Jipyeong IPO Forum will take place on April 15 at 2 PM at their headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul.
This forum has been organized in response to recent changes in the capital market environment, with the aim of sharing strategies for corporate listings and regulatory responses. Following the KOSPI index reaching 5000 points last year, there has been a surge in IPOs from bio, artificial intelligence (AI), and K-content companies, heightening expectations for the IPO market. However, the need for companies to adapt to regulatory changes is also becoming increasingly crucial.
The forum will address the rapid changes in the regulatory landscape, particularly with the expansion of directors duties of care due to amendments in commercial law and the tightening of dual listing examination criteria. Discussions are also ongoing regarding the institutionalization of security tokens (STOs), which adds to the legal and regulatory challenges that companies preparing for listing must address.
The event will kick off with opening remarks from Lee Hang-kyu, the representative attorney of Jipyeong, and will be conducted in two sessions.
The first session will focus on Key Issues and Challenges for IPOs in 2026. Partner attorney Seo Min-ah will discuss management stability and shareholder agreements, while partner attorney Lee Yoo-jin will present on the preparatory matters for listings under the revised Commercial Act.
The second session will cover Trends in IPOs and Listing Maintenance Systems. Senior expert Zhang Young-eun, who is also a certified public accountant, will explain the outcomes of the IPO market in 2025 and changes in the listing maintenance environment. Kim Tae-oh, team leader at Mirae Asset Securities, will introduce trends in the IPO market and characteristics of various listing methods.
Through this forum, Jipyeong aims to enhance understanding of the trends in the IPO market and regulatory changes, while providing strategies for companies to effectively address the legal and institutional risks they may face during the listing preparation and maintenance process.
