Yoon Park and Kim Hee-sun Anticipate Unique Chemistry in There Is No Next Life
Yoon Park and Kim Hee-sun are set to showcase a refreshing partnership in the upcoming TV Chosun drama There Is No Next Life. At the production conference held on October 10 at a hotel in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, Yoon Park shared insights about their portrayal of a married couple, stating, "Its more akin to camaraderie than romance," emphasizing that "love isnt just about romance," which elicited laughter from the audience.
There Is No Next Life presents a comical coming-of-age story about three friends, all aged 41, who are exhausted by their monotonous daily lives filled with childcare battles and relentless work routines, seeking a better full life. Directed by Kim Jung-min, known for works like The Princesss Man and Joseon Gunman, and written by Shin Yi-won of Green Mothers Club, the series promises a compelling narrative.
In the drama, actors Kim Hee-sun, Han Hye-jin, and Jin Seo-yeon embody a trio of lifelong friends, enhancing the hyper-realistic storytelling. Kim Hee-sun plays Jo Na-jung, a former promising show host who is now a stay-at-home mom raising two sons. Yoon Park takes on the role of Jo Na-jungs husband, Noh Won-bin, a home shopping PD.
Kim Hee-sun shared her connection to the character, saying, "While I am not a stay-at-home mom, I spent six years at home raising my kids after getting married and having children. Every time I watched TV, I thought, What if I hadn’t gotten married? Would that spot have been mine? Imagining it made me miss my work. Na-jung is a character who wants to challenge herself again while raising her kids, making her relatable to many."
She continued, "I appreciate the process of overcoming challenges and am grateful to be able to work now. I believe many will resonate with these emotions."
