The city of Busan has announced that it will hold the 20th Busan Fireworks Festival on October 15. In preparation for the event, the city plans to enhance the scenic lighting of the Gwangandaegyo Bridge, making the beauty of the fireworks even more striking. Recent improvements to the bridges anchorage lighting have been completed, resulting in a more vivid and diverse color palette.

This year, the number of barges launching fireworks has increased to a total of 13, which is five more than last year. In celebration of the festivals 20th anniversary, the event will feature the largest amount of fireworks ever used in its history. Fireworks displays will also take place over the waters near Igidae and Dongbaek Island.

The festival will showcase signature fireworks such as the Niagara and 25-inch fireworks, along with new attractions for this milestone anniversary including letter fireworks and a multiplex fireworks display that will launch 200 fireworks simultaneously. A particularly exciting new feature is the catchball harmony fireworks, where the Gwangandaegyo Bridge and the barges will exchange fireworks in a ping-pong fashion, providing a unique viewing experience.

To ensure visitors can enjoy the festival atmosphere before sunset, the city will offer a variety of activities including balloon art and street performances. Additionally, personal stories from citizens will be broadcast on the Gwangandaegyo Bridge, accompanied by a blend of the original sound from G-Dragons album Weberman and AI-generated music, creating a harmonious backdrop for the fireworks display.
