Lotte Engineering to Implement Voluntary Retirement Program to Enhance Future Competitiveness
Lotte Engineering has announced the implementation of a voluntary retirement program aimed at streamlining its organization and strengthening its future competitiveness. According to a statement released on the 13th, this voluntary retirement initiative will primarily target long-serving employees and those at the wage peak stage, with the goal of improving the organizational structure through personnel turnover.
Employees who apply for the voluntary retirement program will receive a severance pay of up to 30 months worth of their basic salary. Additionally, a special severance payment of 30 million won will be provided. For each child attending university or below, applicants will also receive 10 million won in educational support. Furthermore, the company plans to offer re-employment consulting services to those who express interest.
In conjunction with the voluntary retirement program, Lotte Engineering will continue to hire new employees. The company successfully recruited 39 new employees in the first quarter and plans to maintain its hiring efforts for both entry-level and experienced positions in the second quarter and beyond.
A spokesperson for Lotte Engineering stated, "Through the efficient restructuring of our workforce, we aim to reorganize into a younger and more dynamic organization, establish a positive personnel turnover structure, and secure our future competitiveness."
