NEXZ Members Express Admiration for JYPs Park Jin-young as Their Role Model

The K-pop group NEXZ recently expressed their admiration for Park Jin-young, the prominent producer at their agency, JYP Entertainment. During a media interview held to celebrate the release of their mini album Beat-Boxer in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, the members of NEXZ—Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, So Gun, Seita, Huey, and Yuki—shared insights on the valuable advice they have received from Park.
When asked about the guidance they have gained from Park Jin-young, the members unanimously agreed, saying, "He always gives us great advice whenever we meet." Particularly, the group’s leader Tomoya highlighted, "Park Jin-young is my role model." He reminisced about their encounter during the shoot for Business Trip 15 Days, saying, "He asked me, Are you doing well? Is everything alright? in a very friendly manner, which I appreciated. I was also grateful to sing Honey with him at his 30th-anniversary concert, where he looked out for me as well," he said with a smile.
When asked how the 2006-born Tomoya came to regard Park Jin-young as his role model, he replied, "He has been active for an incredibly long time. I used to go to his concerts every year as a trainee. His dance lines are clean, yet there’s a groove to them. Its on a different level. Performing on stage so well is impressive."
Further, he noted, "He has been loved for a long time, which is not an easy feat. Gaining temporary popularity can happen with a bit of luck, but maintaining it over time requires consistent effort and dedication. I find it admirable that he continues to embody this perseverance."
The members also shared a light-hearted moment, recalling a time they were invited to Park Jin-youngs home, where they enjoyed incredibly good food. They laughed, saying, "There was amazing food!"
They continued by quoting Park Jin-young’s advice: "He said that you must cherish your members, fans, and the company staff. If you have these three, you will be loved for a long time and receive even more love..."
NEXZs respect for Park Jin-young reflects their aspirations and the high standards they set for themselves as they navigate their careers in the competitive world of K-pop.
