The autopsy results of a South Korean university student from Yecheon, Gyeongbuk, who was found dead in Cambodia last August, have been released. According to the Gyeongbuk Police Agency on the 17th, a joint autopsy conducted by Korean police and the National Institute of Forensic Science (NIFS) on the 20th of last month determined that the deceased student, referred to as A, died from "traumatic shock" caused by physical assault.

The examination revealed multiple bruises on As body, consistent with signs of beating; however, there were no indications of stab wounds or organ removal. Additionally, no traces of drugs or toxic substances were detected in the autopsy. The NIFS noted in their report that if drugs were administered in small quantities, they could become undetectable after a certain period.

A had departed on July 17, informing family members that he was going to attend an exhibition. He was later found dead on August 8 in the cargo area of a truck near the Bokosan Winch crime complex in Kampot province, southern Cambodia.

Three Chinese nationals have been charged with the murder of A as of the 10th of last month in Cambodia; however, two suspects, including a main suspect identified as Li Guanghao, a Chinese ethnic Korean, are still at large. In South Korea, two individuals involved in sending A to Cambodia have been arrested and are facing trial.
