On October 10, Park Jeong-ha, another member of the People Power Party, expressed his concerns during an appearance on MBC radio, stating that the act of gifting such a high-end item, especially after confirming rumors about Kim Geon-hees fondness for the brand, was something that made them feel apologetic towards the public. He noted that the gift was presented as a token of gratitude for assistance in the partys national convention, which further complicated the situation.
Park commented on the atmosphere within the party, indicating that there has been a long-standing culture of silence regarding uncomfortable topics among members. "Everyone has their thoughts but they don’t express them outwardly," he said, suggesting that there is a significant level of discontent that remains unvoiced.
He also addressed the ongoing legal scrutiny that numerous party members are facing, urging that if there are specific issues that require apologies or measures, they should be addressed. According to him, this would help the public understand that the People Power Party is fighting its battles while also acknowledging the mistakes of the Democratic Party or the government. He questioned whether the message of simply rallying against the president would resonate with the public when many issues are being swept under the rug.
