Granddaughter of Namyang Dairy Founder Arrested on Drug Charges Faces Possible Detention
Hwang Hana, 37, the granddaughter of the founder of Namyang Dairy, has been arrested after being placed on Interpols red notice for drug-related charges and is now facing the possibility of detention.
On the morning of the 26th, Hwang Hana is scheduled to appear before the Anyang Branch of the Suwon District Court for a pre-arrest interrogation (warrant substantive examination).
The Gyeonggi Gwangmyeong Police Department applied for a warrant for Hwang Hana, who is suspected of violating drug management laws. It is anticipated that she will be exposed to the media as she is transferred from the detention center to the court for the warrant hearing.

Hwang Hana fled to Thailand in December 2023 while under investigation for drug use. It is reported that she subsequently entered Cambodia by unknown means.
