According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, morning temperatures are expected to range from -1 to 10 degrees Celsius, while afternoon highs will be between 5 to 13 degrees Celsius.

As of 6 AM on this day, the temperatures in major cities are as follows: Seoul 4.2°C, Incheon 4.1°C, Chuncheon 5.5°C, Gangneung 10.7°C, Daejeon 6°C, Daegu 11°C, Jeonju 8.4°C, Gwangju 10.2°C, Busan 13.1°C, and Jeju 15°C. The forecast for the highest temperatures later in the day includes: Seoul 6°C, Incheon 5°C, Chuncheon 8°C, Gangneung 10°C, Daejeon 7°C, Daegu 9°C, Jeonju 7°C, Gwangju 9°C, Busan 12°C, and Jeju 14°C.

The weather nationwide is expected to be mostly cloudy, with some areas experiencing rain. From the afternoon onwards, the eastern regions will gradually clear up. Late at night, rain is expected to fall in parts of the Chungcheongnam-do west coast, Jeollanam-do west coast, and Jeju Island. The anticipated rainfall until the 18th includes approximately 1 mm for the West Sea Islands, less than 5 mm for the Chungcheongnam-do west coast, around 5 mm for the Jeonbuk west coast, southern inland Jeonbuk, Gwangju, and western Jeollanam-do, and 5 to 10 mm for Ulleungdo, Dokdo, and Jeju Island.

Particularly on this day, strong winds will cause the wind chill to make it feel even colder. The atmosphere will be very dry, especially along the eastern coast of Gangwon Province, where a dry weather advisory is in effect. Residents are advised to take extra precautions against various types of fires, including wildfires. The fine dust concentration is expected to be at a good level across all regions, although the Yeongnam region may experience temporary bad levels in the morning.
