콜리테크놀로지, 골프 데이터 개인화 플랫폼 개발로 혁신적 성장
"Golf Data Personalization Platform" developed by Coli Technology, led by CEO Park In-hwan (photo), combines the career experience of the co-founders to nearly 100 years. CEO Park stated in an interview with the Korea Economic Daily on the 23rd, "I poured in the insights and considerations I have accumulated over 30 years of corporate life into developing a new golf data platform."
The core element of the platform developed by Coli Technology is the AI caddy robot. It carries the golf clubs and follows the golfer, avoiding obstacles on the course. CEO Park emphasized, "By inputting a 3D golf course map in advance, the robot can navigate, considering the golfers trajectory and avoiding bunkers and hazards. It provides golfer-specific information like a real caddy, communicating with the control platform."
The caddy robot analyzes the field data of each golfer to create big data and provides recommendations for golf clubs and weather information according to the situation. It also stores the individual shot records of golfers. The information collected by the robot is transmitted to the linked smart control platform of the golf course.
CEO Park retired after working for 34 years in major companies such as LG Electronics Mobile Communication (MC) Research Institute before starting his own business. The other two co-founders, who had worked as the hardware team leader and software (SW) team leader at the same companys MC Research Institute, joined CEO Park and shared the ambition for entrepreneurship. CEO Park stated, "As people who have been involved in making and researching mobile phones for 30 years gathered together, I had confidence in developing a platform that combines various technologies to design products and incorporate multiple services."
After starting the business in 2020, there were also challenges. In order to dominate the market, they embarked on an initial speed battle in the development of robots and control SW, but they faced initial difficulties...
