Eastar Jet Establishes Integrated Maintenance Center at Gimpo International Airport
Eastar Jet announced on the 26th that it has established an Integrated Maintenance Center at Gimpo International Airport and recently held an inauguration ceremony.
The Integrated Maintenance Center spans approximately 1,700 pyeong and is designed to consolidate previously dispersed operations, including parts and material management, aircraft inspections, painting and metalwork repairs, and maintenance technical training, all under one roof. Additionally, its location near the apron will reduce the physical distance and time required to transport parts from the center to the aircraft.
To commemorate the opening of the Integrated Maintenance Center, Eastar Jet held an inauguration ceremony on the afternoon of the 24th, attended by CEO Cho Jung-seok, Maintenance Head Lee Jeong, and other employees at the center.
With the establishment of this Integrated Maintenance Center, Eastar Jet aims to maximize maintenance efficiency, ensuring punctuality while enhancing operational stability and maintenance quality.
During the ceremony, CEO Cho Jung-seok stated, "The establishment of the Integrated Maintenance Center is a testament to Eastar Jets firm commitment to aviation safety and a strategic investment to enhance our technological competitiveness. The skills and experiences accumulated here will serve as a solid foundation for boosting Eastar Jets global competitiveness and for our leap toward becoming a sustainable airline."
Eastar Jet continues to pursue ongoing innovation and investment based on its core value of prioritizing safety. The company plans to invest a total of 30.2 billion KRW in 2023, 96 billion KRW in 2024, and over 115.2 billion KRW in 2025 for aviation safety investments, which include expanding maintenance equipment and facilities. Furthermore, the introduction of new equipment and advanced facilities is planned to continue into 2026.
