KCCI Chairman Congratulates Newly Appointed Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi

                            
                        On the 22nd, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Chairman Choi Tae-won announced that he sent a congratulatory letter to Sanae Takaichi, who was elected as Japans 104th Prime Minister during the National Assembly Prime Minister nomination election held on the 21st. 
In his letter, Chairman Choi expressed his confidence that Prime Minister Takaichis leadership will invigorate Japan and lead to meaningful progress in relations with neighboring countries and the region as a whole. He extended his congratulations, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between Korea and Japan amidst the rapidly changing global trade environment.
Choi noted that both countries are facing common challenges and stated, If the two nations cooperate as reliable partners to overcome these challenges together, we can create significant synergy.
Additionally, he remarked that with this year marking the 60th anniversary of normalized diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan, there is heightened anticipation for expanded cooperation from the economic sectors of both countries. He expressed hope that the Japanese government would strengthen this trend, paving the way for closer cooperation and a shared prosperous future.
In his letter, Chairman Choi also officially invited Prime Minister Takaichi to the upcoming APEC CEO Summit, scheduled for the end of this month.
Park Il-jun, KCCIs Executive Vice Chairman, mentioned that the KCCI is set to host the APEC CEO Summit starting on the 28th, in connection with the 2025 APEC Leaders Meeting. He added, If Prime Minister Takaichi attends the APEC CEO Summit, it would signify Japans commitment to regional economic cooperation.
