Meritz Securities Super365 Account Surpasses 15 Trillion Won with Zero Commission Benefit
Meritz Securities announced on the 24th that the assets in its Super365 account, which offers a complete zero commission benefit, have surpassed 15 trillion won. The Super365 account, designed for non-face-to-face investments, is set to waive all transaction fees—including domestic and U.S. stock trading and currency exchange fees—until the end of December 2026.
Since the promotional event launched on November 18 last year, the size of the Super365 assets has increased approximately 16-fold in just about 11 months. As of the 20th of this month, the Super365 deposit assets stood at 15.1691 trillion won, marking an increase of 16.2 times compared to the day before the event started (9.336 trillion won on November 15 last year).
The complete zero commission benefit, along with improvements in the investment environment through infrastructure and IT investments, has led to a steady influx of individual investors. The number of Super365 account holders has grown from around 25,000 before the event to 257,000 as of the 20th of this month.
On the same day, the scale of overseas assets reached 9.1862 trillion won, which is 56 times higher than before the event (165 billion won). The monthly trading volume of overseas stocks also reached a record high of 26.7198 trillion won on September 26, consistently breaking previous monthly records.
To strengthen its retail sector, Meritz Securities has implemented a temporary full waiver of commissions for the Super365 account, the first of its kind among domestic securities firms. Additionally, the company is in the process of building a next-generation platform. Recently, in an effort to enhance investment convenience, Meritz has decided to introduce Nasdaq Basic, a service that provides bid information for U.S. stocks. Nasdaq Basic offers additional trading data from Nasdaqs over-the-counter transactions, which is expected to increase trading volumes.
Furthermore, a cloud-based next-generation stock investment platform is also being pursued. Meritz Securities aims to continue expanding its offerings and enhance the investment experience for its clients.
