Netflixs K-Pop Demon Hunters OST Golden Tops Billboard Hot 100 for Three Weeks

The soundtrack Golden from Netflixs animated series K-Pop Demon Hunters has secured the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for the third consecutive week.
On December 2, Billboard reported that Golden maintained its position at the top, surpassing Alex Warrens Ordinary. This achievement marks a significant milestone for K-pop, as it follows Stray Kids album KARMA reaching number one on the Billboard 200, thus dominating both the single and album charts simultaneously. This is the first time this has occurred since BTSs BE and Life Goes On did so nearly five years ago in 2020.
During the tracking period, Golden recorded 35.3 million streams (a 4% increase), 19.7 million radio airplay impressions (a 21% increase), and 9,000 sales (an 11% increase). Billboard noted that Golden has topped the Streaming Songs chart for six consecutive weeks, ranks 29th on the Radio Songs chart, and is number one on the Digital Song Sales chart.
Notably, Golden is the first K-pop song sung by a female artist to reach number one on the Hot 100. It becomes the third K-pop track to hold the top spot for more than three weeks, following BTSs Butter (10 weeks) and Dynamite (3 weeks). Additionally, Golden has maintained its position for four weeks on the UK Official Chart, showcasing its global appeal.
This weeks Hot 100 also features OST tracks such as Your Idol at number four and Soda Pop at number five, further emphasizing the growing influence of K-pop in the global music scene.
