Genesis Championship Debuts Fan Village at KPGA Tour and DP World Tour Collaboration
The Genesis Championship, co-hosted by the Korean Professional Golfers Association (KPGA) Tour and the DP World Tour, has introduced an exciting new feature this year: a Fan Village. With a total prize pool of $4 million and a winners share of $680,000, the championship will take place from the 23rd of this month at Woojung Hills Country Club in Cheonan, South Korea.
Since its inception in 2017, the Genesis Championship has established itself as a premier golf tournament, featuring top players, exceptional courses, and enthusiastic galleries. The event has seen a significant increase in attendance over the years, with approximately 31,000 fans attending in 2018, setting a record for the KPGA Tour. This record was surpassed in 2019 when around 38,000 golf fans visited, marking the highest attendance for a single KPGA Tour event.
This year, the tournaments relocation to Woojung Hills CC is expected to draw a large crowd once again. The organizing committee has made extensive preparations to offer a unique experience and a comfortable viewing environment for attendees.

This new addition includes a chipping green, food court, official merchandise booths, and a Genesis Collection booth, all designed to enhance the fan experience. The chipping green will allow fans to closely observe top players as they practice their approach and bunker shots. Additionally, a dedicated area called the Kids Signing Zone has been set up to cater to young fans.
The food court will offer a diverse array of international cuisines, adding to the enjoyment of attending the tournament. Renowned eateries such as Hyotteu, Kibo, and PPSS will participate, serving popular dishes including pork rice bowls, barbecue, yakisoba, karaage, and handmade burgers.
