K-pop has made history on the Billboard, the worlds most prestigious music chart. The eight-member boy group Stray Kids has achieved an unprecedented feat by placing seven consecutive albums at number one on the Billboard 200, starting with their first entry on the chart. This marks the first time in the 70-year history of the chart that an artist has accomplished this.
On March 31, Billboard announced that Stray Kids latest album, Karma, released on February 22, reached number one on the Billboard 200. In its first week of release, from February 22 to 28, the album sold 313,000 copies in the United States, making it the best-selling album in the country during that period. Stray Kids, formed by JYP Entertainment in 2017, began their record-breaking streak with the album Ordinary in 2022 and has since followed up with albums such as Maxident, Eight, and Hap, all of which have also reached number one on the Billboard 200.
