G-Dragons APEC 2025 Concert Rumors Debunked by Gyeongju City

Rumors circulating about a concert by K-pop star G-Dragon during the upcoming 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit have been confirmed as false. Gyeongju City officials announced on the 26th that the information regarding a G-Dragon APEC 2025 Cheomseongdae performance shared on various cafes and blogs is incorrect.
Recent posts in some online communities suggested that G-Dragon would perform at Cheomseongdae or at Hwangseong Park, but the city clarified that there is no truth to claims about G-Dragon’s participation as a promotional ambassador for APEC or any details regarding pre-registration or application submissions.
G-Dragon was appointed as a promotional ambassador for the APEC summit in July and has been involved in promotional activities, including appearing in promotional videos.
In response to the spread of misinformation, Gyeongju City is working to quickly share accurate information with local administrative divisions and various departments, focusing on blocking false posts through village chiefs and social organizations.
Additionally, a large fireworks display that was initially discussed has been canceled due to security and safety concerns. A Gyeongju City official stated, We are in discussions for separate cultural performances for citizens after the conclusion of APEC, adding that the schedule will be confirmed at a later date.
